FAQ

There is no call out fees for customers on our Plan 2, Home Cover 5-Star Service with No Excess. But customers on our Plan 1 Standard 5-Star Home Cover with Excess plan will incur a charge out fee set in our terms. If there is work that needs completing outside of your cover then typically we operate on a minimum charge (often equivalent to the first hour of labour), plus the cost of any parts. Our team will speak with you and get approval before undertaking any out-of-scope work. All our initial rates are clearly listed on our RATES page, so you know exactly what to expect before we arrive.

Our maintenance cover is for a minimum of 12-months then continues on a rolling month by month basis. After the first 12-months you can cancel anytime with 1-months minimum notice – ideally confirmed by email. See more in our Home Cover Terms and Conditions here.

If you move out of our coverage area within your first 12-months then we can look at special cancellation circumstances. Contact us to discuss this.

You can read all of our Terms and Conditions in our Home Cover T&Cs which you will find HERE. After your initial 12-months you can cancel by writing to us or emailing us with 1-months notice. If you need to make changes or upgrade/downgrade your service, simply call or email us with your request on info@ls1plumbing.co.uk. Or contact us to discuss any questions further.

We aim to make payment as easy as possible! When you sign up to our plans, you will be directed to our direct debit scheme, GoCardless, for automatic monthly payments.

If there is any work carried out that is not under your cover package, then our plumbing and heating engineers will discuss this with you and agree on the price before completing the work. For these payments, our team carry mobile card payment machines and we accept all major debit and credit cards, or you can pay by bank transfer. You will always receive a full invoice itemising any additional costs once the job is finished.

Absolutely. We stand by the quality of our work. All labour performed by our Gas Safe heating engineers is guaranteed for 18 months. For any parts we supply and install—including new boilers—you will benefit from the manufacturer’s warranty, which can be beyond 10 years for new installations. When you pay for an LS1 Plumbing repair, you’re not just paying for a fix, you’re paying for lasting peace of mind.

You can upgrade your cover at anytime. Downgrades, however can only be completed after the first year, a minimum of 12-months.

Cancellations can be made after 12 months by emailing us or using our contact form.  All cancellations are subject to 1-month’s minimum notice.
